A Transparent Response
In recent weeks, I have shared some things with you that I have carried for a long time. I termed this A Transparent Appeal. So, I felt it was appropriate and time to bring you another message that is less scripted and more from my heart.
So please listen and read this communication, the article and the accompanying video named, A Transparent Response – A Letter of Indebtedness. In this I am attempting to build a bridge with you, my caring community, instead of a wall.

A Letter of Indebtedness
Now that does not sound scripturally accurate, does it? After all, Romans 13:8 states, “Owe no one anything…” We are not to be in debt to anyone! But hold on. Read the rest of the verse, “Owe no one anything except to love one another.” Love fulfills the law. Love always wins. Our debt that we owe mankind is to wage a Love War. As I teach in my new book The Triumph, “One of the highest weapons of spiritual warfare is the power of forgiveness.”
There has been a very small percentage of people who have raised their voices to agree with the accuser of the brethren and release fiery darts at me and this ministry. If they have, I bless them anyway!
So, in this simple Letter of Indebtedness, I want to say, “Thank You!” I am indebted to scores, hundreds, thousands, and hundreds of thousands of people just like you who have said over the years, “Jim Goll, or James W. Goll, we believe in you.” I want you to know, “I am grateful for you. I appreciate you!”
Simple Steps of Gratitude
In these days of inspecting my foundation, and days of restoring and rebuilding, I have turned to the passage in Luke 8:45 where the multitudes are pressing in upon Jesus. He stops everything that is going on and compassionately recites, “Who touched Me?” As I have contemplated this, I see something deep occurring. Someone did more than just touch His garments. Someone actually touched Jesus in a manner that it gripped Him. Have you ever touched Jesus? Have you ever made Him feel, “Who touched Me?”
Lately the Holy Spirit has asked me, “Has anyone deeply touched you?" In fact, He has challenged me to set aside offenses and be grateful instead. When someone steps aside from what they think they others owe them, then they can see clearly. Jesus said to remove the log out on my own eye first, then I can see that all someone else has is, but a speck in their eye. Wow! This is transformational. I can be grateful instead of critical.
So now I am asking us to do something together. Let's shift from thinking what someone owes us, into how thankful we can be together. I am grateful for the Church, for my Family, and my Friends, for you, my Partners in ministry.
Why? “Cause you have cared, and you have touched me!" In fact, you have touched me deeply! So, let's be Grateful Together!”
• Be Grateful for Your Church
• Be Grateful for Your Family
• Be Grateful for Your Friends
So now I am freer, because no one owes me anything! Are you grateful?
A Prayer of Gratitude
Almighty God, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we give all our anxiety and feelings of rejection to You. We admit at times we have crawled into a hole instead of hiding in the secret place of the Most High God. Forgive us. We choose to stop comparing ourselves to others and we take back up the shield of faith to extinguish the fiery darts of the evil one. We declare that Your Love is amazing. We declare that we are grateful for our family members and for the body of Christ. We are grateful for our friends and community You have given us. We declare something good is being shaped out of our past into a bright tomorrow. We are grateful. Amen and Amen!
